Combining Section 5 and Section 6

  • We should definitely combine section 5 and section 6.
  • Section 5 is inherently CVA6 specific. It cannot stand on its own. Some reasons why
    • Fig 4 has CVA6 in its text
    • In 5.1, as we talk about Csmith, it implies a microprocessor that has crt0 at minimum
    • 5.2 talks about signal width etc.
    • 5.3 will be repeated in 6 with more details anyway
    • 5.4 is entirely missing which I assume would be the same as 5.4
      • Brad also commented that 5.4 in and of itself is a repetition of previous sections
    • 5.6 should be moved to section 3.4 as a mechanism to close the FV-RV gap. It is general.
  • Section 4 should not be a heading on its own. We should make it a sub-heading at the minimum or remove it entirely.
